Following an accident, Pierre, in his sixties, finds himself confined to bed with a leg in plaster. A Misanthrope with a strong character who dreams of silence and solitude, the world invites itself to his bedside. He then helplessly watches the daily waltz of doctors, nurses and hospital staff, then of his relatives, including his brother Hervé. Through unexpected, funny or touching encounters, Pierre reconsiders certain preconceived ideas and takes a different look at others. And, against all odds, this hospital stay ends up being like a rebirth…
